DTC P0724 BRAKE SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT HIGH**: Only for sequential manual transmission vehicle.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
DTC Detection Condition:
The purpose of this circuit is to prevent the engine from stalling when brakes are suddenly applied. When the brake pedal is depressed, this switch sends a signal to the ECM.

When the stop lamp switch remains ON during "stop and go" driving, the ECM interprets this as a fault in the stop lamp switch and the MIL turns on and the ECM sets a DTC. The DTC will only be set if the vehicle slowed down to 0 km/h (0 mph) and accelerated to 30 km/h (19 mph) 10 times for 2 drive cycles.
