DTC P0725 ENGINE SPEED INPUT CIRCUITCIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
DTC Detection Condition:
The transmission control ECU uses the NE signal from the crankshaft position to control the engine speed and shift the gear. The transmission control ECU receives engine speed signals from the NE circuit. If an open or short is detected in this circuit, the transmission control ECU judges that the circuit is malfunctioning and a DTC is set.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Read freeze frame data using hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool, as freeze frame data records the engine conditions when a malfunction is detected. When troubleshooting, it is useful for determining whether the vehicle was running or stopped, the engine was warmed up or not, etc. at the time of the malfunction.
