Fuel Door Release Cable: Service and Repair

FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL ASSEMBLY

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the front seat.
b. Remove the rear seat.
c. Remove the center pillar garnish lower.
d. Remove the quarter trim panel lower.
e. Remove the quarter trim panel upper.




f. Remove the screw while holding the lever.
g. Disconnect the cable and remove the lever.

2. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the cable from the clamps at the location shown in the illustration.




b. Push the claw and pull out the cable.

3. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER




a. Turn the lock retainer counterclockwise and remove the lock retainer as shown in the illustration.

4. INSTALL FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER




a. Install the lock retainer and turn it clockwise as shown in the illustration.
