Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

Inspect the resistance.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

NOTE: "Cold" and "Hot" mean the temperature of the parts themselves. "Cold" is from -10 to 50 °C (from 14 to 122 °F) and "Hot" is from 50 to 100 °C (from 122 to 212 °F).

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the camshaft position sensor.
