TSB REVISION NOTICE:
- April 19, 2007: 2007 model year has been added to Applicable Vehicles.
- January 13, 2006: 2006 model year has been added to Applicable Vehicles. "ILSAC GF-4" engine oil has been added as an option in the Information section.
Previous versions of this TSB should be discarded.


INTRODUCTION:

The correct engine oil viscosity and fill level are critical for the proper performance of the 1NZ-FXE engine installed in 2001 - 2007 model year Prius vehicles. Incorrect engine oil viscosity or improper fill level may result in a M.I.L. "ON" condition (most common Diagnostic Trouble Code P3191 "Engine Does Not Start").

- 2001 - 2007 model year Prius vehicles.
