TSB REVISION NOTICE:
- June 7, 2007: The TSB title has been changed ("DTC P0A78, Information Code 279 or 306" added). A note has been added to the Introduction.
Previous versions of this TSB should be discarded.

INTRODUCTION:
Some 2004 - 2006 model year Prius vehicles may experience a M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC P0A94, information code 588 (DC/DC Converter Performance). The Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU logic has been improved to address this condition.

NOTE:
If DTC P0A78 with information code 279 or 306 is also present, then ONLY apply this TSB - do NOT apply TSB2245 "M.I.L. "ON" DTC P0A60, P0A63, P0A72, P0A78, or P0A7A.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2004 - 2006 model year Prius vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Remove and replace the HV ECU. Refer to ETAS:
- 2004 or 2005 model year Prius Repair Manual: Hybrid Control System: Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU.
- 2006 model year Prius Repair Manual: P112 Hybrid Vehicle Control: Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU.
