Introduction

The correct engine oil viscosity and fill level are critical for the proper performance of the 1NZ-FEE engine installed in 2001 - 2007 model year Prius vehicles. Incorrect engine oil viscosity or improper fill level may result in a M.I.L. "ON" condition (most common Diagnostic Trouble Code [DTC] P3191, "Engine Does Not Start").

Applicable Vehicles

^ 2001 - 2007 model year Prius vehicles.
