Introduction
Some customers with 2004 - 2006 model year Prius vehicles may experience a M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC P0A93, information code 346 (Inverter Cooling System Performance). The HV coolant pump assembly has been improved to address this condition.
NOTE:
BEFORE applying this TSB, confirm basic system operation per the Repair Manual.
If NO other HV cooling system problems exist, proceed with TSB repair instructions.
Do NOT replace the Inverter w/Converter assembly.

^ 2004 - 2005 model year Prius vehicles.
^ 2006 model year Prius vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

Applicable Warranty**:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
** Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure
Remove and replace the HV coolant pump assembly (water w/motor & bracket pump assembly).

NOTE:
^ An improperly bled coolant system can cause a reoccurrence of DTC P0A93.
