Luggage Door Hinge Torsion Bar (Convertible)

LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR (CONVERTIBLE)

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- After removing the torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage door. Make sure the luggage door can open and close smoothly.
- The RH side torsion bar is in front of the LH side torsion bar, thus the installation should be performed in the order of RH to LH and removal should be performed in the order of LH to RH.




1. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH
a. Remove the luggage compartment trim cover front.
b. RH side:
Install SST to the torsion bar on the hinge side as shown in the illustration.
SST 09804-24010




c. RH side:
Pull up SST as shown in the illustration to move the torsion bar. Then, remove the torsion bar from the hinge RH.




d. LH side:
Remove the torsion bar from the hinge LH as shown in the illustration.
