REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH




a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws labeled A, 2 claws labeled B, 4 claws labeled C and 5 clips, and remove the scuff plate.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 5 clips and scuff plate.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH




a. Remove the clip labeled A.
b. Disengage the claw and clip labeled B, and remove the side trim.

4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP RH
8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH




a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the pillar garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

12. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH




a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the clip labeled A and 3 clips labeled B, and remove the side garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

13. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

14. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH




a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and clip, and remove the pillar garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




b. Pull the garnish upward and remove it from the instrument panel.
c. w/ Curtain shield airbag:
Protect the curtain shield airbag LH.

1. Cover the airbag with cloth or a piece of nylon approximately 700 mm (27.56 in.) X 120 mm (4.72 in.) in size. Fix the ends of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.

NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

15. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

16. REMOVE LH VISOR ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, pry out visor cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 2 screws and visor.
c. Disconnect the light connector.

17. REMOVE RH VISOR ASSEMBLY

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

18. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips, and remove the console box.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Disconnect the console box connector.

19. REMOVE ROOM LAMP ASSEMBLY NO.1
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the lens cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the room lamp.
c. Disconnect the room lamp connector.

20. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws and remove the 2 grip covers.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 4 screws and 2 assist grips.

21. REMOVE COAT HOOK
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the bolt and coat hook.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

22. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER




a. Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.

23. REMOVE SUN ROOF OPENING TRIM MOULDING WI SLIDING ROOF.
24. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY




a. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and roof headlining.

25. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING PAD END (w/o SLIDING ROOF)
26. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY




a. Align the markings, and then install the wire harness with tape.

NOTE: Attach the roof wire harness securely.

b. Install the roof headlining with the 4 clips.
