Rear Seat Belt (Coupe):






REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart .
- CRS stands for child restraint seat.

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY
2. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY LH
3. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY RH
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK HINGE SUB-ASSY LH
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK HINGE SUB-ASSY RH
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
8. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSY FRONT LH
9. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSY FRONT RH
10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH
12. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER LH
13. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER RH
14. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL UPPER LH
15. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL UPPER RH




16. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSY
a. Disengage the 2 clips, 5 claws and package tray trim, as shown in the illustration.

17. REMOVE CRS ANCHOR BRACKET LH
a. Remove the 2 nuts and anchor bracket.

18. REMOVE CRS ANCHOR BRACKET RH
a. Remove the 2 nuts and anchor bracket.

19. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and outer belt.

20. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and outer belt.

21. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER W/CENTER BELT ASSY LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and inner belt.

22. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER W/CENTER BELT ASSY RH
a. Remove the nut and inner belt.

23. REMOVE CRS TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET
a. Remove the 3 bolts and 3 anchor brackets.

24. INSTALL CRS TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET
a. Install the 3 anchor brackets with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 42 Nm (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)




25. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER W/CENTER BELT ASSY RH
a. Install the inner belt with the nut, as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 42 Nm (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not make the anchor part run onto the protruding part of the floor panel.







26. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER W/CENTER BELT ASSY LH

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

a. Check the degree of tilt when the belt begins to lock the ELR.
b. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor.
1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15 ° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor.
When the inclination of the retractor is over 45 °, check that the belt locks.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt assy.

c. Install the inner belt with the 2 bolts.

e: 42 Nm (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not make the anchor part run onto the protruding part of the floor panel.

d. Check the ELR lock.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assy installed.

1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt assy.

e. Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assy installed.

1. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
2. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt assy.




27. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

a. Check the degree of tilt when the belt begins to lock the ELR.
b. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor.
1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15 ° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor.
When the inclination of the retractor is over 45 °, check that the belt locks.

c. Install the inner belt with the 2 bolts.

28. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY LH

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

a. Check the degree of tilt when the belt begins to lock the ELR.
b. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor.
1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15 ° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor.
When the inclination of the retractor is over 45 °, check that the belt locks.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt assy.




c. Install the inner belt with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 42 Nm (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not make the anchor part run onto the protruding part of the floor panel.

29. INSTALL CRS ANCHOR BRACKET RH
a. Install the anchor bracket with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 18.1 Nm (185 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

30. INSTALL CRS ANCHOR BRACKET LH
a. Install the anchor bracket with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 18.1 Nm (185 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
