Fuel Lid Lock Control Assy (Convertible)

FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL ASSEMBLY (CONVERTIBLE)

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE




a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 7 clips and remove the finish plate.

3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the bolt and tray.

4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LH




a. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and trim.

5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LH




a. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and trim.

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
9. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER RH
10. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LOWER LH
11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT




a. w/ Woofer speaker:
Disconnect the connector.

b. w/ Woofer speaker:
Remove the 2 bolts and anchor bracket.

c. w/ Woofer speaker:
Remove the 2 bolts and speaker.




d. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips (vehicle inside).
e. Using a clip remover, remove the 5 clips and trim cover.

12. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPEN BEZEL




a. Pull up at the rear edge of the bezel to disengage the clip.
b. Slide the bezel rearward to disengage the claw.
c. The clip mentioned in step (a) will remain in the opener. Remove the clip and reattach it to the bezel.

13. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the 2 bolts and lever.
b. Disconnect the 2 cables.

14. REMOVE LUGGAGE OPENER CANCEL CYLINDER ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the bolt and cylinder.

15. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the cable as shown in the illustration.




b. Remove the cable as shown in the illustration (luggage room left side).




c. Disengage the claw and remove the cable.




d. Remove the lock retainer as shown in the illustration.

16. INSTALL FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Install the lock retainer as shown in the illustration.




b. Install the cable as shown in the illustration.




c. Install the cable as shown in the illustration (luggage room left side).




d. Install the cable as shown in the illustration.

17. INSTALL LUGGAGE OPENER CANCEL CYLINDER ASSEMBLY




a. Install the cylinder with the bolt.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

18. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Install the lever with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
