Luggage Door Hinge Torsion Bar (Coupe)

LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR (COUPE)

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the RH side.
- After removing the torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage door. Make sure the luggage door can open and close smoothly.
- The RH side torsion bar is on the upper side and the LH side torsion bar is on the lower side, thus the installation should be performed in the order of RH to LH and removal should be performed in the order of LH to RH.




1. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH
a. Remove the trim cover inner LH and RH.
b. RH side:
Remove the tip of the torsion bar from the roof side inner panel by hand.
c. RH side:
Remove the torsion bar from the support bracket RH.




d. LH side:
Move the torsion bar. Then remove the torsion bar from the hinge LH.
e. Remove the torsion bar from the support bracket LH.







2. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH
a. Set the tip of the torsion bar in the center installation hole. The upper and lower hole are used for adjustment.
