Tire Pressure Module: Service and Repair
TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECUREMOVAL
NOTICE: Before removing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the registered transmitter IDs of all wheels and write them down to use for re-registration of transmitter IDs.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Coupe)
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Convertible)
4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUBASSEMBLY RH (for Coupe)
5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUBASSEMBLY RH (for Convertible)
6. REMOVE NO. 1 UNDER INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER SUBASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL RH
8. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
(a) Remove the nut.
(b) Disconnect the connector and clamp.
(c) Remove the tire pressure warning ECU.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
(a) Connect the connector and clamp to the tire pressure warning ECU.
(b) Install the tire pressure warning ECU with the nut.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 inch lbs.)
2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL RH
3. INSTALL NO. 1 UNDER INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER SUBASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUBASSEMBLY RH (for Coupe)
5. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUBASSEMBLY RH (for Convertible)
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Coupe)
7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Convertible)
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialization
NOTICE: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
10. REGISTER TRANSMITTER ID
11. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
12. INITIALIZE SYSTEM
NOTICE:
^ Be sure to register the transmitter IDs of all tires including the grand spare tire in the ECU before initialization.
^ Be sure to inflate all tires including the grand spare tire to the proper inflation pressure before initialization.
