Rear Seat Outer Belt Assembly

REMOVAL

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
- CRS stands for child restraint seat.

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER RH
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER LH
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE RH
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE LH
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH
7. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER LH
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER RH
10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
12. REMOVE CUP HOLDER NO.1
13. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER LH
14. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LOWER LH




15. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 3 bolts and belt.

16. REMOVE CRS ANCHOR BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 nuts and bracket.

INSTALLATION




1. INSTALL CRS ANCHOR BRACKET
a. Install the bracket with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 18.1 N.m (185 kgf.cm, 13 in.lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.




a. Check the degree of tilt when the belt begins to lock the ELR.
1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15 degrees or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the inclination of the retractor is over 45 degrees check that the belt locks.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt assembly.




b. Install the outer belt with the 3 bolts, as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear belt and the protruding parts of the rear seat adjuster to overlap.

c. Check the ELR lock.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.

1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt assembly.

d. Check fastening function of the child restraint system.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.

1. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
2. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt assembly.
