Removal








BRAKE CONTROL: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (w/ VSC):

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (Service Precautions).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

NOTE: When reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal after installing the steering sensor, check that the front tires and steering wheel are kept aligned straight ahead before and after connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER (Removal)

5. REMOVE NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER (Removal)

6. REMOVE STEERING PAD (Removal)

7. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (Removal)

8. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (Removal)

9. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (Removal)

10. REMOVE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR





(a) Disengage the claws and remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
