DTC C1223/43 - ABS Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the VSC system detects a malfunction in the ABS control system.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (Programming and Relearning).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK ABS CONTROL SYSTEM
(a) Clear the DTC (Vehicle Stability Control System).
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Check if the same DTC is recorded (Vehicle Stability Control System).
Result:





B -- REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC
A -- Continue to next step.
2. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Clear the DTC (Vehicle Stability Control System).
(c) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded (Vehicle Stability Control System).

B -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
A -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION)
