SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat):

REMOVAL
HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the RH side.
- When removing/installing and overhauling the passenger seat, check the passenger occupant classification system and perform the zero point calibration (Installation).
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts).
CAUTION: Wear safety gloves, because the sharp surfaces of the seat adjuster may injure your hand.
1. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER RH
2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER LH
3. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
CAUTION: Work must be started more than 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.
(The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source. If work is started within 90 seconds from turning the ignition switch to the Lock position and disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy.)
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
HINT: Set the power seat front vertical function to the highest position.
(a) Remove the headrest.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts.
(c) Disconnect the connectors under the seat and remove the seat.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
