Installation

PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO.3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Connect the parking brake cable assembly No.3 to the parking brake equalizer.
(b) Install the 2 nuts, bolt and parking brake cable assembly No.3 to the body.

Nut - Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
Bolt - Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)

(c) Connect the parking brake cable assembly No.3 to the backing plate with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Install the parking brake heat insulator with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
3. APPLY HIGH TEMPERATURE GREASE (Reassembly)

4. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE (Reassembly)

5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT LH (Reassembly)

6. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT COMPRESSION SPRING
7. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING (Reassembly)

8. CHECK PARKING BRAKE INSTALLATION (Reassembly)

9. INSTALL REAR DISC (Reassembly)

10. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE (Reassembly)

11. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the rear disc brake caliper assembly LH with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 47 Nm (480 kgf-cm, 35 ft-lbf)
12. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
13. INSTALL NO.1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Connect the parking brake cable assembly No.1 to the parking brake equalizer.

(b) Install the parking brake cable assembly No.1 with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 22 Nm (225 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)
(c) Install the console box mounting bracket No.2 with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 12.5 Nm (128 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(d) Install the parking brake cable assembly No.1 with the parking brake adjusting nut and lock nut to the parking brake lever assembly.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
(e) Using a screwdriver, fix the parking brake cable No.1 to the pick.
14. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC) (Installation)

15. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

16. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL
