SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY:

REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (Service Precautions).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Work must be started at least 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned off and after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

HINT: Refer to the procedures up to "REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY" (Removal).

4. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 9 bolts and the curtain shield airbag assembly in the order shown in the illustration.
(b) Disconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assembly.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
