Installation
SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Convertible):
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.
(a) Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor.
(1) When the inclination of the retractor is 15°or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks.
If operation is not as specified, replace the outer belt assembly.
(b) Install the outer belt with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)
Torque: 42 Nm (430 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)
Bolt labeled A - Torque: 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)
Bolt labeled B - Torque: 42 Nm (430 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
(d) Install the floor anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (430 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)
(e) Check if the ELR locks.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
(1) With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
If operation is not as specified, replace the outer belt assembly.
2. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
(a) Connect the battery's negative terminal.
NOTE: When disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following system (s) after the terminal is reconnected.
(b) Check the SRS warning light (Diagnosis System).
