Manual Up / Down and Auto Down Function does not Operate on Driver Side

DESCRIPTION

If the manual UP/DOWN and AUTO down function does not operate, a malfunction may be present in the power window regulator master switch, the power window regulator motor or the wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (P/W NO.2)
(a) Remove the P/W No. 2 fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
(b) Check operation of the power window regulator motor assembly LH.
Standard:





NG -- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SWITCH OPERATION)
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SWITCH OPERATION)





(a) Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - POWER WINDOW MOTOR LH)





(a) Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the P7 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
