Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The navigation ECU receives a reverse signal from the park / neutral position switch and information from the GPS antenna, and then adjusts vehicle position on the navigation display.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT NAVIGATION ECU





(a) Disconnect the navigation ECU connector L16.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:





OK -- REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU

NG -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU - PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the navigation ECU connector L16 and park / neutral position switch connector B13.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH





(a) Disconnect the park / neutral position switch connector B13.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
