INTRODUCTION:
On some 2008-2010 Avalon vehicles, the High Beam/DRL bulb may become inoperative or shatter. A newly designed High Beam/DRL housing assembly (including the applicable bulb) is available in the event this condition has occurred.
This condition does not apply to the low beam bulb which functions independently of the High Beam/DRL bulb.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Confirm the headlight bulb is inoperative.
If it is broken, replace the affected headlamp assembly.

2. Remove the headlamp assembly.
Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:

3. Install the new headlamp assembly.

NOTE:
Confirm the headlamp assembly are properly aligned using the appropriate procedure in the Headlight Installation section of the Repair Manual.

4. After repair, confirm proper operation of the headlight system.
