ENGINE IMMOBILISER: CERTIFICATION ECU (w/ Smart Key System): INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

NOTE: When installing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.

1. INSTALL CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)





(a) Install the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) as shown in the illustration.

NOTE: Be careful when installing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly). If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is dropped, replace it with a new one.





(b) Engage the 2 claws to install the ECU aggregation cover.
(c) Connect each connector.
2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

HINT: Refer to the procedure from Install Instrument Panel Safety Pad Sub-assembly Installation.

3. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID

NOTE: When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), perform initialization Registration.

4. REGISTER KEY

NOTE: When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), perform initialization Registration.
