Accelerator Pedal: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD
(a) Measure the voltage.
(1) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(3) Turn the Techstream ON.
(4) Select the menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Position NO. 1, Accelerator Position NO. 2.
(5) Operate the accelerator pedal, and then check that the Accelerator Position NO. 1 and Accelerator Position NO. 2 values are within the specifications.

If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal rod, wire harness or ECM.
