HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
HINT:
- Use the following procedures to troubleshoot the engine immobiliser system.
- Techstream should be used in steps 3, 4 and 6.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Inspect the battery voltage.
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (CAN)
(a) Using Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FOR DTCS
(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Delete the DTCs.
(c) Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to duplicate the hybrid control system DTC or engine immobiliser system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTCs.

5. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
(a) If the fault is not listed in the problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
