Applicability

Introduction

Some vehicles may demonstrate one or more of the following intermittent radio condition(s):
scrambled unreadable or blank display; no volume control; or turning ON/OFF by itself. An improved radio has been developed to correct this condition.





Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.

NOTE

Radio MUST be obtained from the exchange program to qualify for warranty coverage.

Repair Procedure

1. Order a replacement radio through the applicable radio exchange program per the Toyota Warranty Policy and Procedures: Policy 4.13: "Audio Systems Warranty".





2. Remove the original radio per the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model year vehicle Repair Manual.





3. Install the updated radio per TIS applicable model year vehicle Repair Manual.
