BRAKE: REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE





(a) Connect the rear brake flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.
Torque: 33 Nm (337 kgf-cm, 24ft-lbf)
(b) Install the rear brake flexible hose with a new clip.
NOTICE:
- When installing the rear brake flexible hose, face the identification mark toward the exterior of the vehicle and minimize twisting of the hose.
- Install the clip as far as it will go.





(c) Connect the brake line to the rear brake flexible hose with SST while holding the rear brake flexible hose with a wrench.
SST: 09023-00101
Without SST - Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11ft-lbf)
Without SST - Torque: 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10ft-lbf)
NOTICE :
- Do not bend or damage the brake line.
- Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake line from the connecting points.
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).
- This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to a torque wrench.





(d) Connect the rear flexible hose and the speed sensor to the shock absorber with the bolt.
Torque: 19 Nm (192 kgf-cm, 14ft-lbf)
NOTICE: When installing the rear flexible hose and the speed sensor, the bracket must face toward the exterior of the vehicle.

2. ADD BRAKE FLUID TO RESERVOIR Service and Repair
3. BLEED REAR BRAKE SYSTEM Service and Repair
4. CLEAR DTC FOR BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM
HINT: Refer the procedures up to "ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM". Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

5. PERFORM ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE ZERO DOWN Service and Repair
6. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Service and Repair
7. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK
8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76ft-lbf)
