PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the parking brake cable clamp to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.
(b) Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with 3 bolts (A), bolt (B) and nut (C), and engage each claw.
Bolt (A) - Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75in-lbf)
Bolt (A) - Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53in-lbf)









(c) Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the backing plate with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71in-lbf)





(d) Using a brass bar and a hammer, install the clip to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

3. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET Reassembly
4. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Reassembly
5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT Reassembly
6. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION NO. 1 SPRING Reassembly
7. CHECK PARKING BRAKE INSTALLATION Reassembly
8. INSTALL REAR DISC Reassembly
9. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE Adjustments
10. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY Reassembly
11. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
12. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT FLOOR HEAT LOWER INSULATOR





(a) Install the No. 2 front floor heat lower insulator with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 4.9 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 43in-lbf)
13. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Installation
14. INSTALL FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER Installation
15. INSTALL FLOOR NO. 2 UNDER COVER Installation
16. INSTALL NO. 4 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the No. 4 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.





(b) Slide the rubber boot back as shown in the illustration.
17. CONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.
18. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.
19. INSTALL CROSS MEMBER FLOOR NO. 4 REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the cross member floor No. 4 reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.
Torque: 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14ft-lbf)
20. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 6 clamps and 2 claws and install the front floor carpet assembly.





21. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPENER ASSEMBLY





(a) Engage the claw and install the luggage door lock opener assembly with the screw.
22. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH Installation
23. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Installation
24. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation
25. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Installation
26. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH Installation
27. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH Installation
28. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation
29. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH Installation
30. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made) Reassembly
31. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made) Reassembly
32. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made)

33. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made)
HINT: Refer to the procedures up to "INSTALL PARKING BRAKE PEDAL" (for TMMK made). Installation

34. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
HINT: Refer to the procedures up to "INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)". Installation

35. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)
HINT: Refer to the procedures up to "INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)". Installation

36. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.
