Applicability

Introduction

Some Camry and Camry HV vehicles may exhibit a condition where the clock lens appears foggy or clouded. A replacement lens is now available as a separate service part to address this concern.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.





Required Tools & Equipment

Repair Procedure

1. Remove the No.1 defroster nozzle garnish.

A. Disengage the 8 clips and 4 guides.





B. Disconnect each connector and remove the No.1 defroster nozzle garnish.





2. Remove the clock assembly by removing the 4 screws.

3. Remove the clock lens from the clock assembly.

A. Remove the upper side hooks.





Remove the right and left hooks and then the center hooks.





B. Remove the lower side hooks.

Remove the right and left hooks and then the center hooks.

4. Attach a new lens to the clock assembly.





A. Place the lens on the clock assembly. (Do NOT insert hooks.)

NOTE
Use caution to prevent smudges and fingerprints on the lens.





B. Insert the center hooks.





C. Insert the right and left hooks.

D. Reconfirm that the upper 4 hooks and lower 4 hooks are attached and snapped in place.





5. Install the clock assembly with the 4 screws.

6. Install the No.1 defroster nozzle garnish.





A. Connect each connector.

B. Engage the 4 guides.

C. Engage the 8 clips and install the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.

7. Verify clock operation check dimmer and set to the correct time.
