MAINTENANCE: ENGINE: GENERAL MAINTENANCE

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
HINT: Inspect these items on a cooled down engine.

1. INSPECT DRIVE BELT Testing and Inspection
2. REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
(a) Replace the engine oil and filter Replacement.
3. REPLACE COOLANT (for Engine)
(a) Replace the coolant Testing and Inspection.
4. INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS
(a) Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage.
5. INSPECT SPARK PLUGS Testing and Inspection





6. INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER
(a) Remove the air filter.
(b) Visually check that the air filter is not excessively damaged or oily. If necessary, replace the air filter.
(c) Reinstall the air filter.
7. REPLACE AIR CLEANER FILTER
(a) Replace the air filter with a new one.
8. INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY Inspection
9. INSPECT FUEL LINES AND CONNECTIONS AND FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BANDS
(a) Visually check the fuel lines for cracks, leakage, loose connections, deformation or tank band looseness.
10. INSPECT CHARCOAL CANISTER Testing and Inspection
11. ADJUST VALVE CLEARANCE
(a) Adjust the valve clearance Adjustments.
