2AZ-FXE CHARGING: BATTERY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
NOTICE: The auxiliary battery used is exclusive to this model. Be sure to replace the auxiliary battery at a dealer.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER Removal
3. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY





(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) terminal of the auxiliary battery.
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

(b) Disconnect the cable from the positive (+) terminal of the auxiliary battery.
(c) Disconnect the thermistor sensor connector.
(d) Disconnect the battery room ventilation hose.
(e) Remove the nut, bolt and battery clamp.
(f) Remove the auxiliary battery.
