HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RECEIVER





(a) Install the condenser assembly with receiver as shown in the illustration.
HINT: If the condenser is replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the new condenser.

Capacity:
40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.)
Compressor oil:
ND-8 or equivalent

4. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE) Installation
5. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE) Installation
6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE) Installation
7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE) Installation
8. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2ZR-FE) Installation
9. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2AZ-FE) Installation
10. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation
11. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection
12. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Adjustments
13. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2ZR-FE) Installation
14. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2AZ-FE) Installation
15. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the air conditioning tube assembly.





(d) Install the air conditioning tube assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
16. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the discharge hose sub-assembly.





(d) Install the discharge hose sub-assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

19. INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation
20. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR Installation
21. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair
22. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair
23. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT Adjustments
24. PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING Adjustments
25. INSPECT FOG LIGHT AIMING Adjustments
