DTC B1451 - Compressor Solenoid Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Through this circuit, the A/C compressor receives a refrigerant compression demand signal from the A/C amplifier.
Based on this signal, the A/C compressor changes the amount of compressor output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C COMPRESSOR - BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the connector from the A/C compressor (compressor solenoid).
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





HINT:
- *1: TMC Made
- *2: NUMMI, TMMC Made

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT A/C COMPRESSOR (COMPRESSOR SOLENOID)




(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





HINT:
- *1: TMC Made
- *2: NUMMI, TMMC Made

Result:






C -- REPLACE A/C COMPRESSOR (for 2ZR-FE)
B -- REPLACE A/C COMPRESSOR (for 2AZ-FE)
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C COMPRESSOR - A/C AMPLIFIER)




(a) Disconnect the connector from the A/C amplifier.




(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

- *2: NUMMI, TMMC Made

Result:






C -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
