DOOR LOCK: WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Smart Key System): TERMINALS OF ECU

TERMINALS OF ECU

1. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
(a) Disconnect the 2A, 2B, 2C, 2E, 2F and 2G instrument panel junction block connectors and E50 and E51 main body ECU connectors.









(b) Measure the resistance and voltage between each terminal of the wire harness side connectors and body ground.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the main body (instrument panel junction block) connectors.
(d) Measure the voltage between each terminal of the wire harness side connectors and body ground.





- *1: When operating the answer back function.
- *2: When operating the motor.
- *3: TMC Made
- *4: NUMMI, TMMC Made

2. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the E36 ECU connector.





(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the E36 ECU connector.
(d) Measure the voltage of the connector.





If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.
