BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE PEDAL: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT: Refer to the instructions for Removal of the upper instrument panel sub-assembly Removal.

2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
3. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Remove the brake pedal return spring from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
4. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
(a) Remove the clip and clevis pin and separate the brake master cylinder push rod clevis from the brake pedal sub-assembly.
5. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
6. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER
(a) Remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and separate the brake pedal support sub-assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement.

(b) Disengage the 2 clamps from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

(d) Remove the nut from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
