2AZ-FE COOLING: THERMOSTAT: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THERMOSTAT
(a) Install a new gasket onto the thermostat.





(b) Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve upward.
HINT: The jiggle valve may be set to within 10° on either side of the indicated position.

2. INSTALL WATER INLET





(a) Install the water inlet with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)
3. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE Installation
4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
5. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
6. INSPECT RESERVOIR TANK ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL Testing and Inspection
