DTC C1201/51 - Engine Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

If the engine control system is malfunctioning, VSC and TRAC operations are prohibited as a fail safe function. If a normal signal is received from the engine control system, the fail safe function cancelled and the DTC will be cleared.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM
(a) Check if the engine control system DTC is output DTC Check / Clear for 2AZ-FE, or DTC Check / Clear for 2ZR-FE).

D -- INSPECT ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM (for 2ZR-FE)
C -- INSPECT ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM (for 2AZ-FE)
B -- REPLACE ECM (for 2ZR-FE)
A -- REPLACE ECM (for 2AZ-FE)
