BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: FRONT SPEED SENSOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the front drive shaft assembly.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the front speed sensor connector.
(b) Remove the front speed sensor wire harness clamp from the body.
(c) Remove the bolt and No. 2 sensor clamp from the body.
(d) Remove the bolt and separate the brake flexible hose.
(e) Remove the No. 1 sensor clamp from the shock absorber.
(f) Remove the clamp.
(g) Remove the bolt and front speed sensor.
NOTICE:
- Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
- Clean the installation hole and the contact surface for the speed sensor every time it is removed.
