Removal








HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Spoiler) Removal
2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Spoiler) Removal
3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2AZ-FE) Removal
5. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2ZR-FE) Removal
6. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2AZ-FE)





(a) Disconnect the water by-pass hose from the 2 clamps.
7. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)





(a) Disconnect the water by-pass hose from the 3 clamps.
8. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)





(a) Disconnect the horn connector.





(b) Remove the 5 bolts and the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
9. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)





(a) Disconnect the horn connector.





(b) Remove the 5 bolts and the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
10. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2AZ-FE) Removal
11. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2ZR-FE) Removal
12. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
13. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the condenser.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

14. DISCONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid pipe sub-assembly from the condenser.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the liquid pipe sub-assembly.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

15. REMOVE CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RECEIVER





(a) Remove the condenser assembly with receiver as shown in the illustration.
