Installation








REAR SUSPENSION: REAR LOWER ARM: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHING





(a) Using SST, install a new lower control arm bushing.
SST: 09632-36010

(A):
15 +/- 0.5 mm (0.591 +/- 0.0196 in.)

NOTICE:
- Do not install the lower control arm bushing in the wrong direction.
- Place the lower control arm bushing at the position in the illustration.

2. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT STOPPER





(a) Install the rear suspension support stopper.
NOTE: Do not install the rear suspension support stopper in the wrong direction.

3. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY





(a) Temporarily tighten the rear suspension arm bracket assembly with the nut.
4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING





(a) Temporarily tighten the rear shock absorber with coil spring with the nut and the bolt.
5. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY





(a) Temporarily tighten the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly to the rear suspension member with the bolt and the nut.
NOTE: When installing the bolt, stop the nut from rotating and tighten the bolt.





(b) Temporarily install the 3 bolts and fully tighten the 3 bolts in order from 1 to 3.
Torque: 65 Nm (663 kgf-cm, 48 ft-lbf)





(c) Temporarily tighten the rear axle assembly to the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly with the bolt and the nut.





(d) Insert the rear suspension toe adjust cam sub-assembly from the front side of the vehicle, and temporarily tighten the nut through the rear No. 2 suspension toe adjust plate.
6. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)
8. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER BRACE (for LH Side)





(a) Install the rear floor side member brace with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)
9. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation
10. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY





(a) Using SST, fully tighten the bolt.
SST: 09961-00950
without SST - Torque: 87 Nm (887 kgf-cm, 64 ft-lbf)
with SST - Torque: 64 Nm (656 kgf-cm, 47 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 425 mm (16.73 in.).
- This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.
- When installing the bolt, stop the nut from rotating and tighten the bolt.
- The final torque must be applied under standard vehicle height conditions.





(b) Fully tighten the bolt.
Torque: 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 103 ft-lbf)
NOTE: The final torque must be applied under standard vehicle height conditions.





(c) Align the matchmarks on the rear No. 2 suspension toe adjust plate and fully tighten the nut.
Torque: 74 Nm (755 kgf-cm, 55 ft-lbf)
NOTE: The final torque must be applied under standard vehicle height conditions.

11. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY





(a) Using SST, fully tighten the nut.
SST: 09961-00950
without SST - Torque: 110 Nm (1122 kgf-cm, 81 ft-lbf)
with SST - Torque: 81 Nm (829 kgf-cm, 60 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 425 mm (16.73 in.).
- This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.
- The final torque must be applied under standard vehicle height conditions.

12. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING Installation
13. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT Rear Wheel Alignment (for Double Wishbone Type Suspension).
