Indicator Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The daytime running light relay receives headlight dimmer switch assembly information to control low beam and high beam headlight indicators.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE
(a) Remove the ECU-B fuse and H-LP RH HI fuse from the engine room relay block and junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUSE - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)
(a) Install the ECU-B fuse and H-LP RH HI fuse to the engine room relay block and junction block.




(b) Disconnect the E55 combination meter assembly connector.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RELAY)
(a) Disconnect the E42 daytime running light relay connector.




(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY




(a) Reconnect the E55 combination meter assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:






NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
