SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that the ignition switch is off.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

(c) Temporarily install the new curtain shield airbag assembly to the body panel with the 5 hooks.
NOTICE:
- If the curtain shield airbag assembly is removed, replace it with a new one.
- Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly when installing it.

(d) Install 4 new clips with the curtain shield airbag assembly to the body panel.





(e) Install 4 new pins as shown in the illustration.
NOTE: Make sure that the pins of the clips are pushed in firmly.

(f) Install the 5 bolts.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)





(g) Connect the curtain shield airbag connector.
NOTE: When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.





2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
