Removal








SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Occupant Classification ECU, Occupant Classification Sensor): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Seatback Board)
4. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (w/o Seatback Board)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

5. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (w/o Seatback Board)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Seatback Board)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seatback Board)
8. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (w/ Seatback Board) Removal
9. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (w/ Seatback Board)
for 2WD: Removal
for 4WD: Removal
10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seatback Board) Removal
11. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH
w/o Seatback board: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Disassembly.
w/ Seatback board: Disassembly
12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH
w/o Seatback board: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Disassembly.
w/ Seatback board: Disassembly
13. SEPARATE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH





(a) Remove the nut and separate the front seat inner belt assembly RH.
14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH
w/o Seatback board: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Disassembly.
w/ Seatback board: Disassembly
15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD RH
w/o Seatback board: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Disassembly.
w/ Seatback board: Disassembly
16. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR





(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and separate the connector.
NOTE: Do not kink the pressure hose.





(c) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and occupant classification sensor.
NOTE: When the occupant classification sensor is replaced, be sure to replace the occupant classification ECU as a set.

17. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU





(a) Disconnect the connector from the occupant classification ECU.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and occupant classification ECU.
