REAR SUSPENSION: REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEELS
2. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)
HINT: Refer to the procedure up to Remove Center Exhaust Pipe Assembly Removal.

3. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
HINT: Refer to the procedure up to Remove Center Exhaust Pipe Assembly Removal.

4. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
5. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL (for 4WD)
6. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT LH (for 4WD)
7. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT RH (for 4WD)
HINT: Perform the same procedure for the LH side.

8. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) Removal
9. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Replacement
10. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Perform the same procedure for the LH side.

11. REMOVE REAR DISC LH Disassembly
12. REMOVE REAR DISC RH
HINT: Perform the same procedure for the LH side.

13. DISCONNECT REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE LH (for 2WD) Removal
14. DISCONNECT REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE RH (for 2WD)

15. SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE LH (for 2WD)

(a) Remove the bolt.

(b) Remove the bolt and the nut, and separate the rear speed sensor wire LH.
16. SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE RH (for 2WD)
HINT: Perform the same procedure for the LH side.

17. SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR LH (for 4WD)

(a) Remove the bolt.

(b) Remove the bolt and the nut, and separate the rear speed sensor LH.
18. SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR RH (for 4WD)

60. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly LH from the rear suspension member.
NOTE: When removing the bolt, stop the nut from rotating and loosen the bolt.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts, and separate the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly LH.

(c) Remove the bolt, nut, and the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly LH.
61. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Perform the same procedure for the LH side.

62. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER (for 2WD)

(a) Support the rear suspension member using a jack and wooden block.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the rear suspension member.
(c) Lower the rear suspension member.
63. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER (for 4WD)
(a) Disconnect the wire harness connector and the hose.

(b) Disengage the 6 clamps and separate the wire harness and hose.

(d) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the rear suspension member.
(e) Lower the rear suspension member.
64. REMOVE UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH Removal

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 6 exhaust pipe support bracket.
70. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
71. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION (for 4WD)
72. REMOVE STUD BOLT

(a) Remove the 2 stud bolts.
