DTC B1244 - Light Sensor Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a failure in the light sensor circuit is detected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BODY ECU




(a) Disconnect the A24 sensor connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:






N G -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - ECU)




(a) Disconnect the A24 sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the B6 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
OK:
Returns to normal operation.
NG -- REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (MAIN BODY ECU)
OK -- END
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the A24 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - ECU)




(a) Disconnect the A24 sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the B6 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (MAIN BODY ECU)
6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - ECU)




(a) Disconnect the A24 sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the B6 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (MAIN BODY ECU)
