INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THERMOSTAT





(a) Install a new gasket to the thermostat.





(b) Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve facing upward.
HINT: The jiggle valve may be set within 10° of either side as shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL WATER INLET





(a) Install the water inlet to the cylinder block with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)
NOTE: Ensure that the gasket is not stuck between the water inlet and cylinder block.

3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) Testing and Inspection
4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) Testing and Inspection
5. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
7. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Testing and Inspection
