INSPECTION

1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the light assembly.
(b) Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and battery negative (-) lead to terminal 3, then check that the illumination comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
OK:
Illumination comes on.
If the result is not as specified, replace the light assembly.
(c) Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and battery negative (-) lead to terminal 4, then check that the illumination comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
OK:
Illumination comes on.
If the result is not as specified, replace the light assembly.
