DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the state of the combination switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (COMBINATION SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for the proper functioning of the combination switch.

Main body ECU

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the 1I junction block connector.
(b) Disconnect the B5 and B7 ECU connectors.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH

(a) Inspect light control switch.
(1) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:

(b) Inspect headlight dimmer switch.
(1) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
